Have you ever wondered where your parents and grandparents got you all these tales when you were young? No worries! We’ve all been there, but not anymore cause what you’re about to know will turn the table! I’ll take you back years ago to introduce you to folk art and old story-tellers.

Just a hint before we travel back in time, shall we? Folk art is actually an oldie, as it was the simplest and most spontaneous type of all and it was passed down from generation onto the next until it came to the reach of people like you and me; and without further ado let us introduce you to some facts

1- Story-tellers were old winners: I know this might seem clumsy, but in those great old times, there was an occupation called story-teller and that was simply someone who gathers crowds of people around them and starts their enchanted tales, I wouldn’t have believed it either but it’s true! The character of a story-teller was widely famous all over the Middle East especially the city of Damascus. They had the ability to enlighten their listeners. See? You haven’t been reading in vain!

2- Wise mentalities are fine qualities: We’re speaking of the past, but no room for mockery! A storyteller is not just anyone who got a great voice or fine senses, but they have morals within them to reflect on the characters they create. Good story-tellers have to offer their listeners an amount of civilization. After all it was a big deal don’t you agree?

3- Once upon a time was quite a rhyme! The forever famous saying and the beginning of all talks about castles, kings and princes originated from story-tellers to trigger your curiosity to know if the stories they tell are true or not. Speaking of stories, there was one that kept its place until this very day and it’s the tale of Shahrazad and the slayer of women, care to check it out?

4- Such an end but still a trend! Hate to break it to you, but technology invaded our times which led the story-tellers to vanish and become hard to find just like a smurf! Hold on as hope never leaves; we know a storyteller that might catch your attention and he is Rashid Abou shady, pretty cool if you ask me!

5- Moral of the story: amazing technology, but still old is gold people! So, story-tellers really are fascinating and eventually left an impact even on you. Hold on to these stories keeping them in your heart for you may need them in the near future.
